Recently, professor Liu Zhigang was invited by professor Shervin Shirmohammadi, editor-in-chief of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (IEEE TIM), to be the Associate Editor of this journal, which is an internationally renowned and authoritative journal in the fields of electronics, electrical measurement and instrumentation, ranking No.1 according to IF and CiteScore, as well as the solo journal in category Q1 Instrumentation and Measurement of JCR. Professor Liu is the first deputy editor of IEEE TIM in the history of SWJTU and the only Chinese professor who was elected as the deputy editor this year.

    Prof. Liu, as an IET Fellow, IEEE/CSEE/CIE Senior Member, serving as the leader of Sichuan Youth Scientific & Technological Innovation Research Team and Scientific Research & Innovation Team of Sichuan Universities, New Century Outstanding Talents of Ministry of Education and Sichuan Academic & Technical Leader, presides over 20 projects, such as NNSFC Key Project, National Key R&D Program of China Sub-project, National 863 Program, Sub-project of Key Projects in the National Science & Technology Pillar Program, as well as Fok Ying-Tong Foundation for Young Teachers from the Ministry of Education, Key Projects of Sichuan Outstanding Youth Fund and Science and Technology Research and Development Plan from the Ministry of Railways. In recent years, he has published 28 IEEE Transactions papers as the first/corresponding author, 2 English wand one Chinese monographs, and got 4 national provincial and ministerial awards. It has cultivated 61 doctoral and master students, with 33 postgraduates granted national scholarships.
